Inside the Marcr Hardware Prototype
The players see the training ground when it’s ready. They don’t always see the walk beforehand, putting markers down one by one. Or the walk afterwards, picking them all up.
If you run several sessions a week, you know that part well. It’s a lot of bending for a job that should be simpler.
That’s the problem we started with at Marcr.
What the prototype does
We’re building a standing-height piece of football training hardware for placing and collecting markers. The idea is straightforward: move around the training area and handle the markers without having to bend down for every one.
The video below shows an early prototype being tested indoors. You can see the handle, the pole and the markers it’s being tested with. It’s a working look at the idea, not a finished product shoot.
Why we’re showing it now
We could wait until everything looks perfect. But the prototype explains Marcr better than a polished picture of an empty football pitch.
This is hardware for the coach who gets to the ground early and stays to pack up. It’s also for the academy running one session after another, where equipment has to be moved and collected throughout the afternoon.
We’re working towards Australian manufacturing. The design is still being developed, and we haven’t confirmed final pricing, marker compatibility or a preorder date. We’ll share those details when they’re settled.
For now, this is the part we can show: the physical prototype and the job it’s being built to do.
You can see more about the Marcr football training hardware and follow Marcr on Facebook for updates as it develops.
